Life on the Lake

Lake Life
Since the early 1900s "The Lake" has been a special place where lifetime experiences and memories are made with families and friends. Many folks say, the lake is the place were their families grow stronger and their friendships transcend generations.
Lake History
Lake Community

Newton Lake, located in Greenfield Township, PA has a rich history. From the territory of the Leni Lenape Native Americans, to the lands William Penn received from King Charles II in 1681, to the Samuel Meredith and Nathan Levering's original Land Patents, to numerous local farm owners, to Joseph Jermyn purchase of land via sheriff's sale , F. W. Wagner, the Consolidated Water Supply Company, and Shannon & Reynolds, to the Newton Lake Association members owning the lake and the current property and home owners that surround.
The Newton Lake Association has always taken steps to preserve the natural waters, surrounding lands, and the rights of property and home owners. Please visit our Newton Lake Assoc. Facebook page to connect with your friends and neighbors.

Dear Newton Lake Association Members, I hope this message finds you well and enjoying the beauty of our beloved lake. As we move into the 2025 Summer Season, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on our achievements, share some exciting updates, and outline our plans for the future. First and foremost, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for your continued support and active participation in our community. Your dedication to preserving the natural beauty and health of our lake is vital. Over the past year, we have made significant strides in improving the water quality of our lake, all thanks to the efforts of our volunteers and the implementation of new conservation practices. As a result of their efforts and our practices, we have seen a noticeable reduction in pollution levels. Due to the overwhelming support of all of our members, our community events have been a great success. The annual lake clean-up, the summer BBQ, and the Social Committee’s Newton Lake Day, which all were bright spots for our Lake the last two years, which will continue for future years with hopefully new additions. These gatherings not only help maintain our lake but also strengthen our sense of community. Together, we have accomplished many tasks and completed several key projects, including the installation of the Outlet Pipe Project and the installation of new Informational Board at the beach. We have also strived to educate the community around the lake to promote environmental awareness and safety. We are planning new initiatives to restore and protect the natural habitat around the lake. This includes protecting native vegetation and creating buffer zones to prevent erosion and runoff. We will be hosting more workshops and seminars on topics such as sustainable fishing practices, invasive species management, and the importance of preserving our watershed. We aim to increase community involvement through volunteer opportunities and regular Association meetings to discuss ongoing projects and gather your valuable feedback. I encourage everyone to stay engaged and participate in our upcoming events and initiatives. Together, we can ensure that our lake remains a beautiful and thriving environment for future generations to enjoy. Thank you once again for your unwavering support and commitment. Let's continue to work together to make Newton Lake an even better place to live, relax, and enjoy nature. Warm regards, Mike Wagner President, Newton Lake Association
